Karnataka Welfare Department introduces the scholarship scheme in Karnataka for those students who belongs to low income family and cant even imagine to pursue their higher education. The concerned department has recently published the Post Matric Scholarship scheme for those eligible students who have low income background. The students who are interested to pursue their higher education through this scheme can apply through online mode.  The online mode is quiet simple and easy to navigate for all students. The online Post Matric Scholarships distribution system through ePass application is one of the important welfare measures of the Government of Karnataka which has main objective at the educational upliftment of Students, and it is initiated by the Department of Backward Class Welfare.

Qualification Criteria  :
Group- A :
(i) Degree and Post Graduate level courses including M.Phil., P.hD., and Post Doctoral research in Medicine (Allopathic, Indian and other recognized systems of medicines), Engineering, Technology, Planning, Architecture, Design, Fashion Technology, Agriculture, Veterinary & Allied Sciences, Management, Business Finance I Administration, Computer Science/Applications.
(ii) Post Graduate Diploma courses in various branches of management & medicine.
(iv) M.Phil., Ph.D. and Post Doctoral Programmes (D.Litt., D.Sc., etc.)
(v) L.L.M.

Group-B :
(i) Graduate/Post graduate courses leading to Degree, Diploma, Certificate in areas like Pharmacy (B. Pharm?.,), Nursing (B Nursing), LLB, BFS, other paramedical branches like rehabilitation, diagnostics etc., Mass Communication, Hotel Management & Catering, Travel/Tourism/Hospitality Management, Interior Decoration, Nutrition & Dietetics, Commercial Art, Financial Services (e.g. Banking, Insurance, Taxation etc.) for which entrance qualification is minimum Sr. Secondary (10+2).
(ii) All eligible students are informed that Post Graduate level courses are not covered under Group A e.g. MA/M.Sc.,/M.com/M.Ed.,/M. Pharma., etc.

Group- C : All other courses leading to a graduate degree not covered under Group A & B e.g. BA/B.Sc.,lB.Com etc.,

Group- D :
All post-matriculation entrance qualification and vocational three year diploma courses level non-degree courses for which is High School (Class X), both general stream, lTl in Polytechnics, etc.,

1) First you need to enter Application No
2) Then select Academic Year
3) After that enter SSLC Register Number
4) Enter Year of Passing (YYYY)
5) Select SSLC Pass Type
6) Enter Date of Birth (DDMMYYYY)
7) Click on the GetStatus button
