This is first time, when the IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation) is providing the facility of cash on delivery opportunity for railway tickets online. This method s very useful for those customers who don’t want to use their credit or debit card and also for those who don’t have net banking service which is enabled bank accounts and cards.

Through this online facility, the customer are required to book the ticket through online mode and the payment will be made on cash mode at the time of delivery of the tickets.

IRCTC has initiated this schemes in more than 200 cities.

Through this method the consumer may book their railway ticket before the 5 days before to start the journey.

Required Fee for delivery of railway ticket:

All the customers are required to pay Rs.40/- for the Sleeper Class Ticket delivery.

Rs.60/- will be charged for AC Class services from the customer.

Anduril Technologies has been started to providing this service through their web portal, that is Anduril Technologies is an authorised for providing Cash-on-Delivery services to their customers.

Mode of Delivery:
To provide the tickets the service has its title which is name as e-tickets. Through this scheme, the online booking railway ticket will be delivered at the customers door steps, where the customers are required to make the payment via cash on delivery of ticket.

In many days before a customer can book a ticket for travel:

Now you can book the railway tickets which is possible 60 days before the date of travel. before the 60 days of planned travel the consumer will not be able t book the railway ticket between 8.00 am – 12.00 am.

All the customer are requested to carry their Identity Proof with them while travelling. At the time of travelling through e-ticket, you can show any of the following documents for identity proof.
Voter id card
Valid Driving License,
PAN card,
Student ID card,
Photo ID card issued by state govt.
