Tata Scholarship 2015 – Cornell University, New York


Tata Scholarship has recently announces the scholarship which is awarded to around 6 -10 students annually and it gives assurance that the talented and outstanding Indian students have access to Cornell, and these students don’t have to worry about their financial circumstances.
All the selected students will provided the scholarship for the duration of their undergraduate studies at Cornell, New York.
There will be $25 million endowment has been established for the Tata Scholarship Fund for Students from India going to Cornell.
The scholarship will allow Cornell to provide financial aid to undergraduate students from India

Eligibility Criteria:

Cornell University provides financial aid on a limited basis to students who are not citizens, or eligible non-citizens, of the United States.

To receive the undergraduate scholarship, an applicant must

  • be a citizen of India and have attended secondary school in India
  • be offered admission to Cornell as an undergraduate student
  • be eligible for need-based financial aid

For applicants for whom English is not the first language must submit a TOEFL ( Minimum score Internet exam= 100 and Paper based= 600)
Or IELTS Score (minimum score should be 7)

Application Mode:

  • All the undergraduate applicants are eligible for consideration for the Tata Scholarship if the students have completed the admission application and have applied for financial aid.

All candidates are suggested that they apply to any of these colleges which is given below

  • College of Architecture, Art, and Planning
  • College of Agriculture and Life Sciences
  • College of Arts and Sciences
  • School of Hotel Administration
  • College of Human Ecology
  • College of Engineering
  • School of Industrial and Labor Relations
  • The eligible students are required to complete the College Scholarship Service (CSS) Profile >> Complete your CSS Profile
  • And all the undergraduate applicants are informed that they must apply for financial aid by completing the financial aid application process for international students.
Selection Process:
The selection process will be done by giving the first preference to qualified students accepted to the College of Architecture, Art, and Planning; the College of Engineering; the Applied Economics and Management major in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences; and majors across colleges in the biological sciences, physical sciences, and other “hard” sciences, as well as the social sciences
